How can i make my new Traxxas Slash Brushless 4X4 4WD RTR run faster.?
it is completly stock: Pinion/spur 13/54, battery is a 7-cell NimH 8.4V 4000+mAh
You can either change the pinion or spur to a higher tooth count. It would be easier to try the pinion first rather than disassembling more of the truck & changing the spur. I wouldn’t go to crazy like going to a 19 to start off. I’d probably try a 15 & see how much speed you get & how much run time you lose. I’ve killed a few motors & esc’s going with too high of a jump on teeth. You might be able to get a faster motor but most are matched to the esc ratings.

Hello ive been having problems with starting my traxxas up the easy start leds lights dont light up on glow?
plug could this be because my glow plug igniter is not charged?
it could be low charge or your connection from the glow plug to the EZ start could be not good. Check the tightness of the glow plug wire to the glow plug, make sure your EZ start battery if fully charged, and make sure the yellow EZ start wire is ran to the base of the motor and is giving a good connection. now if it turns over but wont start and your light still isnt on, replace the glowplug. (nothing beats a new glowplug) if that still doesnt work check the connections again and if those are all ok it could be your EZ start wand. hope this helps

I am going to get a slash, but I cant decide if I should get the regular slash, or the vxl (1/16th size). I want one that will be fast and be able to go off of big jumps without breaking. Also, I want one that will also be able to drive on a lot of different terrain types. Sorry for asking so much, thanks for your help!

I know what you mean,yes they’re interchangeable,so is the 2.5 and 3.3,if you plan on putting a 3.3 in it and yanking the 2.5 out,you’ll need 3.3 drive lines,or you’ll break the 2.5′s.It’s easy,mine was an original 2.5 and i converted it to a 3.3,broke the drive train (shafts) and what not cause i was un aware of needing different upgrades.Yes they’re compatible.
