Your engine just isnt tuned. It is a little complex, but it is something that can easily be mastered. Usually when it does that, it is too rich. You need a screwdriver and you need to find the highend ajuster, usually the more noticable one. Usually turning it right will make it leaner, or less gas to air mixture, which is what you want. I still like to tune mine a tad bit rich, it extends the life of the engine. To get it to this point, you slowly tune it by pinching the fuel line to the carborator for about a half second to a second. It should spike in RPM. Once your really close to the level of that spike without pinching, your done! I used to race nitro cars all the time but got tired of cleaning, tuning and all the other problems of nitro cars and trucks. Honestly the easiest thing to do is to switch over to electric. For the most part it is maintanance free. I used www.towerhobbies.com to find out what I needed to make my RC experience fun. Hope this helped!

nimh batteries?? can i charge them faster?

i have a 4 nimh batteries 1600mah 6 cell. it takes an hour and a half to charge each battery. i have a duratrax dual charger that charges 2 packs at once independently. i was told not to set the charge rate any higher than 1 amp. but my charger has .8, 1.5, 3, and 5 amp settings. i have been using the 1.5 but it takes a hour and a half or 3 hours to charge all four packs. would it be safe to set it at 3 amps? or even 5 amps. oh and the packs are for a mini revo brushless

never ex ceed the charge rate for the battery you are charging.

I have NiMH that can be completely recharged in 15 minutes, but they are made for hot charging. I also use a battery charger made for heavy output.

If you exceed the specifications, you can cause the battery to burst.
