how do i break in my my new tmaxx 3.3 nitro truck?
i need to know how to break it in cause i messed up on my other buggy a redcat racing tornado xl cause i was too excited when i got it so i went full throttle and it messed it up bad so i need to know how to break one in
First off it helps when you know what a tmax 3.3 nitro truck is befour you answer the question. My son and I have raced tmax and truggy for many years and the general standard for breaking in a new motor is to bench idle the first two tanks through. This means dont even turn the radio on, just set the throtle by hand and let the motor run at idle. The third tank you can turn the radio on but only use short burst on the throtle, no full throtle just little short burst. The last tank you can turn on the power a little more, still no extended full throtle just short runs at full. After that it should be ready to go. A very helpful tool for tuning is one of the laser temp guns, point it at the top of the head where the plug is and try to keep the temp between 250 and 300 degrees. Use a good race fuel and it should last for a pretty good while. Good Luck!

is the tsunami gas rc truck from redcat racing (rc-tradingpost.com) a good truck?
this truck has cuaght my attention
being they are a relitively unknown company (probably up and comming) i would steer clear of them. this is my personal opinion, as i have dealt with some not-so-popular brands and no good came of it. cheap parts and hard to find replacements. (break it enough and by the time you fix it, you could’ve bought a RC10GT2 instead of buying parts)
be patient, save some more cash and get something from a more well-known company like team associated, HPI or traxxas, etc.
to me, the tsunami looks cheap. cheap plastic, poor design and an engine i have never heard of. i strongly feel this truck in no way could be a serious racer or even hold it’s own on the track. it does look good though.
just remember, 4wd is not always the best racer or the fastest, esp. for stadium trucks.
