Tornado XL from Redcat Racing Questions?
1. I just got a new Tornado XL from Redcat Racing… most rc cars(at least the ones i have seen) have a button on the gas tank to prime the engine… this buggy dont… how do i prime the engine?
2. the car is brand new i havent touched anything. i tryed to pull the pullstart and it was really hard to pull.. is this cause i havent set the carb/throttle needle?
1. It’s good that you don’t have a primer because all they do is fail. Take the pressure line off of the exhaust and blow (never suck) into the line until you see fuel at the carb. Give it one more small push of air and you’ll be ready to go.
2. Everything is fine the tolerance is tight when the engine is cold and especially when it is new. However, you should be able to pull the pullstart wothout extraordinary force. If it seems way too hard to pull you might have a broken piece inside. Heat the engine up with a blow dryer or heat gun to losen it up and make starts easier.
