When you are dealing with the “TMaxx 3.3 RTR Nitro”, know that you are dealing with a monster truck that is not only powerful but also uns at speeds quite amazing for any class of RC nitro cars, let alone a huge monster truck! The TRX 3.3 motor is the prime reason that this “monster” is capable of reaching speeds near 55 mph, but anyone familiar with the Traxxas’ TMaxx models already know the about the series’ reputation of perfectly blending pace, balance and torque. Like every other well made RC nitro car that is good at running off-road, the TMaxx 3.3 also has powerful torque at its rear.
After mentioning all the advanced hobby-grade RC nitro cars, let me introduce you to the “Spirit Truck”, which is meant for rejuvenating the RC car owner’s spirit by bringing back a bit of fun and entertainment back into today’s competitive RC car racing. What is the best nitro RC Truck for the money?
I’m looking for a nitro-powered off-road truck that costs less than $300. I’ve been looking at the Traxxas Nitro Stampede, but I’m wondering if that will be too slow, or won’t be good enough because it doesn’t have 4wd? Is the nitro Stampede a pretty fast truck for beginners? Are there any 4wd trucks for under $300?
Traxxas web site says it will do 33+mph. The T-MAXX 2.5 that I got last year does 45+ and it is almost impossible to control at that speed, unless your in a wide open parking lot. But I think you should take your time a think about it, because 4×4 is a lot better and turns better to. Good luck.

I’m looking for a off-road and on-road rc thats fast and easy to start. I have an electric Traxxas Slayer and i love it, But i wanted a gas car to take place of it. I have a Losi LST 2 But it takes forever to start. Please help thanks!

I had a revo. All nitro’s are about the same. If you have an lst 2 then why would you even consider a 4×4 monster truck? all of those trucks have the 2.5 or 3.3. The 2.5 is ok but I replaced mine with an os 18 tm and tuning / start up was day and night. But gas still sucks. I went to brushless and never looked back. cleaner quieter faster longer run times same handling i would suggest brushless e-revo or flux because with nitro every day you must tune it differently. btw, the jato and nitro sport can’t do nearly half of what a revo or t-maxx could. honestly if you have a lst 2 get a good engine in that. and go electric or bump start so it primes faster than a pull start and finger prime method. a check valve could help too
