Depends on the brand.
I have a second hand hong nor buggy, and thus far, nothing has needed replacing. (touch wood)
However, if you’ve got some cheap chinease clone (acme tech cough cough…) Then yers.
The more you spend on actually buying it, the less you should have to spend on maintaining it. That said, all models will need maintenance.
It’s possible you just don’t know what your doing, and it’s you rather than the models, no offence.
Give a run down of the problems your having, and i’ll see if i can’t help.
