How do I keep my Traxxas ESC from turning off?
My Traxxas Rustler keeps shutting down. The VXL-3s electronic speed control’s (ESC) low voltage detection keeps activating.
I have a fully charged battery and it’s not a LiPo battery. It also happens when I fully accelerate the Rustler, or when I try to brake suddenly at a high speed.
Does anyone have any fixes?
Yes, this is very common among VXL users. They have a bad problem of the connections coming undone or broken. Check all the connections then test it out again. If this does not work, I would send it to Traxxas. They should fix/replace it for a very low cost or free if it’s still under warranty. When it’s fixed or replaced I would sell it (you could get $100-$120 for it) and buy yourself a Castle Creations Sidewinder. WAY better and even faster. It’s also only $135.
