Should i get a traxxas slash or should i fix my electric rustler?
I already have a gas powered rustler and a savage ss. I want a car for the track and i either want to fix my rustler and get track tires for it. The rustler needs a new speed controller and new tires. But when a slash be funner for the track.
You just need to get a couple of things for the E-Ruslter? This is as opposed to the Slash at $200 US.

What Speed Controller are you looking at. Tires will be about $40 whereas the ESC will be around $100 – $150, may be more if you put a brushless system in it.
I would do both, get the Slash it looks fun and fix the rustler. Its always good to have a Basher around.
