Traxxas Slash VXL vs Rustler VXL?
ok so i currenlty have a rustler xl-5. it is really fun to play with. the only thing is that it’s just to slow. ik the the Slash VXL and Rustler VXL are very good electric rc’s. my question is which one is better? i like to do jumps with the rc and i noticed that the rustler tends to nose dive alot, is the slash different? and one more thing i have 6 cell 4200 mah battier should i upgrade to a lipo?
LiPo is a must, and just so you know the Slash doesn’t come in VXL (only XL-5) so you would have to buy that separate.
I have a Rustler with a Sidewinder in it and I’m very happy. The stock slash isn’t great for jumping due to the tires being inside the body hence rubbing or hitting.
I am in the stage of building a slash right now. They are really great (slow stock though). The Rustler only nose dives because you are either not accelerating when it’s in the air or you are too much.
I say sell the current motor and XL-5 in your Rustler. You could get about $50. Then either buy the new waterproof VXL or a Sidewinder. Then get a Slash and have fun with it stock until you decide you want to upgrade.
