what is better traxxas e-maxx brushed or the traxxas stampede vxl?
witch is better like the battery,motor,price,etc.
can you upgrade the motor on the e-maxx because it says it only goes 30mph and the stampede goes 65+?
Two totally different trucks: the e-Maxx brushed runs two titan 550 motors and is probably $50 more (right now) than the Stampede VXL (~$369 v. $319 at hobbypeople today). The E-Max is physically bigger, heavier and a little more expensive to fix, but it has a TON of aftermarket parts. The E-Max is 4 wheel drive and has a two speed transmission. The Stampede is a little lighter/smaller and also has a bunch of aftermarket parts. It’s only two wheel drive – which can be a lot of fun also. Keep in mind that you will likely want to buy LIPO (more expensive than Nimh) batteries if you go brushless. This also means you’ll need a more expensive charger. They are both excellent trucks and a lot of fun. I think the new VXL system is also waterproof, so you can run both of them in water if you wish.
It really boils down to your preference as to 4 wheel drive v. 2 wheel drive? What are your friends driving? It’s nice to have a comparable truck so that you can race/bash with friends. If the people you’re going to drive with all have 4wd revos and emaxxes, then you probably want to go the same route – if they are running 2wd slashes, bandits and stampedes, then I’d do the same.
