I’m so tired of living, what’s the point?
Life to me is just so worthless, especially the humans way. We do all this absurd stuff because we’re “superior animals” but it ultimately leads to nothing. We’re all going to die, and frankly death isn’t coming fast enough for me, or the human race. I know I’m young, and my self lamenting is probably selfish to you, but I realize that I’ll be out of college soon, to see the human world even more, and the idea of that makes me sick. I don’t want to make friends, or get hobbies. I’m tired of being alive and human. I wouldn’t care if I died tomorrow, I’d miss nothing. I’m going to die and it will be like I never existed.
Tell me I’m not the only one to feel this way? Is it wrong to think like this? I’ve looked at life and all I see is nothing.
If you are sincerely expressing yourself by what you are saying then you have reached a point of material exhaustion. We live in a world focused on polishing the exterior and neglecting the interior. So-called advancement of life is equivalent to polishing the cage but neglecting the bird inside.
Material exhaustion is a prerequisite for real spiritual life. There are so many bogus spiritualist that pass off subtle sense gratification for spiritual practices. We must never give up our intelligence to simply make a show of religious faith. This is a type of sentimentalism. There is real spiritual knowledge available to those who truly seek real meaning to life.
The moment we accept birth we also accept death. People become distracted by material enjoyment and tend to forget about the reality of their condition. This material enjoyment can be compared to the numbing of suffering. Suffering is in the background of all material enjoyment. Being servants to our senses we become trapped by our own desire to control and enjoy. This is our madness.
If anything you are becoming detached enough to really see. Please inquire into the part of you that does not change. You are not this body. A sober person can understand this. The body you had when you were two years old is completely gone. Modern science accepts that on a cellular level the body is changing approximately every seven years. The part of you that passes from body to body can be recognized by the symptom of consciousness. There are many things that cannot be seen with our blunt physical senses. Our senses are imperfect. It does not take a scientist to understand this. The reality is that everything physically present in a living body is still there in a dead body(blood, bones, mucus, stool, flesh).
Do not be so convinced that death is the end. This life has purpose. No one has lived to tell whats after death. If you are really tired of a mundane existence then begin your sincere search for the absolute truth beyond the temporary conception of life.
