Wil I get good reception using an HDTV antenna in Orange County, CA?
I recently got a LCD HDTV but only have standard service through DirecTV right now. I tried to upgrade to HD service through DirecTV but the satellite dish needs to aim in a different location than the standard dish and there is too much tree coverage to pick up the signal.
I would like to purchase an indoor HDTV antenna so that I can at least watch network channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox) in high definition but I am skeptical of whether I will be able to get a good signal. With a regular antenna, you can only catch ABC in this whole area. Are the HD signals stronger or the same?
If I purchase one at Fry’s or Radio Shack just to see if it works, can I return an opened item if it doesn’t work well?
