Here’s a question for the smart folks out there.?
What year did “Star Wars” come out with there first action figure, how tall was it, and what the first company to produce it?
I’ll give you a hint, it wasn’t mattel.
I’ll give another hint, the “Storm Troopers” grew in the 1970′s too. How many inches?
The first four Star Wars action figures were released by Kenner in March, 1978. (Their production schedule missed the Christmas 1977 season, but lucky children who got an “Early Bird Kit” under the tree and mailed in the coupon were the first to receive their toys.) Luke Skywalker at 3.75 inches tall was the basis for all Star Wars action figure sizes. To this day the entire line is referred to as “three and three quarter figures” by collectors. The other three figures in the first release were Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and R2-D2.
