What are they? The question

For each of the following three dimensional mechanical systems, say what are the conserved quantities, and what the symmetries responsible for their conservation.

a.) Free particle
b.) Particle moving in a potential with spherical symmetry, V = V(r)
c.) Particle moving in a potential with a symmetry around around a fixed axis (cylindrical, or axial symmetry).

Finally, write does the most genral form of potential acting on a single particle such that the quantity Px+Py+Pz is conserved, where (Px, Py, Pz) are the three components of the momentum of the particle.

I may miss some, but the free particle is going to have

a) conservation of momentum (linear translation), angular momentum (rotation), and energy (temporal).

b) conservation of angular momentum (rotations all three axes), energy.

c) angular momentum about one axis, energy.
