wind turbine size/type?

am trying to build a wind turbine that is capable of running an entire house from heating to tv however the location of that wind turbine is in a low wind speed area approx 5 miles per hour ,,,,my question is how many blades are preferable for low wind speed also the size of them, and should i use a VAWT or a HAWT,,,,,the alternator am thinking of using is a DIY axial flux generator but i am not sure how big it should be in order to supply that amount of power required ,,,everything about this wind turbine is a DIY ,,,,,thanks

for DIY, first task is to calculate how much energy you use on a daily basis, both peak and average.

Second task it to measure the average wind on an hourly basis.

Two decisions: 1. grid tie or lots of batteries. 2. If not grid tie, how many hours do the batteries have to supply your power in long calm periods.

Once you get this data, it’s possible to calculate the size needed, but without it, I’d be just guessing.

email me when you get the info.
