What is the average cost to have something made in a machine shop using a CNC machine (PLEASE READ DETAILS)?
I am considering building a small axial flux alternator, i will need to have some parts custom made, example i need two 8″ steel disks with a center hole for the bearing and 4 holes for mounting, and a hub disk to attach the blades at 120 degrees apart..might need a couple other small pieces made but want to get an idea about how much i should expect to pay for the materials and labor before i start calling around to various machine shops..i want an extra edge when dealing with them.
Probably more than $2.
