help with crystal face notation (Miller)?
Is it necessary to have a unit plane/face (one that cuts the 3 axes) in order to use Miller and label each crystal face? If not then is it just a question of setting the axial lengths and taking their reciprocals? If not what is the process? How should the axial lengths be set?
Sorry, Iearned all that when I was an undergraduate and forgot it 32 seconds after the test.
Like everyone else who is not a lecturer on crystallogarphy.
