World-class toy manufacturers in China have to go to Denver – toy manufacturers, toy market, the Chinese market – the toy industry
In the Grand Gateway Mall, 10-year-old Liu Xinxin happily jumped to test drive the latest Ferrari F1 toy car. At present, China has 300 million children under the age of 16, but only the Chinese Year of the Pig this year there will be 2,200 million babies were born. Liu Xinxin are excited to open, as the value of 12,000 yuan model car, the children will drive China’s toy industry fast forward. According to the China Toy Association, predicted that the size of China’s domestic toy market will be in 2001 to 108 billion yuan (1.4 billion U.S. dollars) to upgrade to 2010, 92.4 billion yuan (120 billion).
With People’s incomes rise, coupled with parental concern about the safety and well-being, the demand for high-end toys in recent years has reached unprecedented levels. In response, Mattel Chinese distributors of Guangzhou Wei Zheng Jinhui company’s manager, said: “China’s (toy) market has become a gold mine?? One-child policy to become the parents of two Chinese turn around a child’s social, They will not hesitate to buy their children expensive and high-quality toys. ”
Today, as Fisher (FisherPrice) and Hasbro (Hasbro) and other foreign brands toys are so popular in China. Various toy stores and toy companies have done their best, have introduced new products, new stores and new marketing and advertising. As one of the world’s largest toy exporter in the Chinese toy imports also showed the same substantial growth.
But this process is somewhat tortuous. Zheng Jinhui said that as China’s largest importer, the United States and Thailand are currently the first 70% of the products manufactured in China and exported to overseas packaging and design, re-transmission back to China. However, this did not affect its popular products. Mattel Barbie the most famous series of products into China, between 1999 and 2000 its sales volume is doubled. However, Zheng Jinhui acknowledged, although their distribution faster, but more and more intense competition. To this end, the United States and Thailand to strengthen the second-tier and third tier cities to the toy market, distribution expansion, and had a productive session.
With Mattel and other toy companies have gradually built up a larger and more solid toy market, such as Toys R Us and other toy distributors abroad are eager to enter the Chinese market. Toys R Us last December in Shanghai opened its first store. The company said Peter Stone, CEO of Asia, as the market response and good performance, Toys R Us during the year in Beijing and Shanghai, to open four additional stores.
Peter Stone pointed out that the store’s success partly due to the fill the huge gaps in the Chinese toy market. “We have a price several thousand dollars of toys, there are a few dollars a dagger, everyone can find what they want; In addition, we allow customers demo toys and other toy stores in China this is not The. ”
As agent, Li & Fung Ltd. of Hong Kong together local and foreign manufacturers for the Toys R Us offers toys from the high to low. These toys in the price similar to the U.S. market. However, due to the need to pay 17% import duty on foreign goods, the company and other retailers, like their toys in China’s pricing will be slightly higher. Even so, these toys in the eyes of Chinese parents still value for money.
Playwright Commercial Co., Ltd. is a Rhode Island Hasbro’s agent in Guangzhou, the company manager for Yang said: “We can clearly see that domestic demand growth in high value toys. Four years ago, consumer to ask only toys without problems on the line, but now, in the pursuit of high quality, while parents are asked to toys to the children’s growth to play a greater role in education. ”
A matter of fact, not only advanced toys, parents are willing to buy all the other toys. Typically, high-end toys such as Hasbro is the special forces (GIJoe) and Mattel’s Barbie doll, mid-range is the store’s own brand, such as Toys R Us in the kind of toys, while the use of low-grade there is no known low-cost material production and local products.
As for the marketing strategy, the toy companies are to meet the parents, the psychological priority, and they also pay attention to China’s national holidays. For example, this year’s 61 Children’s Day, the United States and Thailand in a week of the festival, will in all major TV networks in China launched a nationwide promotion-oriented. As for the German fairy Pa Group (Simba-Dickie), from the bus stop sign to the bulletin board, the company’s ads are all over the safety of its products selling point for the market.
Picked the time of this strategy.

Ecotec
The Ecotec name was adopted in 2000 for the new generation of Family II engines. The name was already used for the Opel GM Family II engine, Family 1 and Family 0 ranges. GM intends this new Ecotec to become its global 4-cylinder.
The Ecotec Family II is a DOHC 4-valve design with an aluminum block and head (L850 for 86 mm bore applications, and L880 for 88 mm bore), designed for displacements from 1.8 to 2.4 L. It was developed by an international team of engineers and technicians from Opel’s International Technical Development Center in Rsselsheim, Germany, GM Powertrain in Pontiac, Michigan, and Saab in Trollhttan, Sweden.[citation needed] Much of the development work on this project was carried out by Lotus Engineering, Hethel, United Kingdom. The engine uses aluminum pistons and cast iron cylinder liners. Vibration is reduced with twin balance shafts.
The current Ecotec line is manufactured in Tonawanda, New York, Kaiserslautern, Germany, and (for Saturn) in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

LNF
Ecotec LNF in a Pontiac Solstice
A turbocharged direct injected (redubbed Spark Ignition Direct Injection) Ecotec was introduced in the 2007 Saturn Sky Red Line. It is a longitudinally mounted engine. Displacement is 2.0 L1,998 cc (121.9 cu in)ith a square 86 millimetres (3.4 in) bore and stroke. Compression is 9.2:1 and maximum boost is 1.4 bar (20.0 psi), delivering 260 hp (190 kW) at 5300 rpm and 260 lbft (350 Nm) of torque from 25005250 rpm. Engine redline is at 6300 rpm and premium fuel is recommended. The sodium filled exhaust valves were based on technology developed for the Corvette V8 powertrains. The sodium fuses and becomes a liquid at idle, which improves conductivity and draws heat away from the valve face and valve guide towards the stem to be cooled by the engine oil circulating in this aerea. The camshaft-driven direct injection systems pressurizes the fuel to 52 bar (750 psi) at idle, and up to 155 bar (2,250 psi) at wide-open throttle. The “Gen II” block is similar to the 2.4 L and also features VVT technology. The Gen II block was developed using data from racing programs and computer simulations. The bore walls and bulkheads were strengthened with a weight increase of 1 kg (2.5 pounds). The coolant jackets were expanded to improve heat rejection, resulting in a coolant capacity increase of 0.5 liters.
Unique LNF features include:
a twin-scroll turbocharger
cam-driven high pressure gasoline direct injection fuel system
dual camshaft continuously variable valve timing
sodium-filled stainless steel Inconel exhaust valves
low-friction cast aluminum pistons with oil squirters
forged steel crankshaft

L61
Ecotec L61 engine in a Chevrolet Classic
2003 Pontiac Sunfire Ecotec engine
This engine is also known as a Z22SE in other countries such as The United Kingdom and Australia
The basic Family II architecture was substantially reengineered in 2000, becoming the Ecotec 2.2, model L61 (or L42 for the CNG version). First appearing in the 2000 Saturn LS1, the L61 spread throughout North American GM products, displacing the Quad 4 and its descendants.
Unlike its notably harsh predecessor, the L61 was designed for smoothness – however in the nearly 20 years since the demise of the Oldsmobile engineered Quad 4, no other GM 4-cylinder has exceeded the output of the 190 hp (142 kW) 1991 W41 Quad 4. Only recently the Ecotec LAF exceeded the high volume 180 hp (134 kW) LG0 Quad 4. Dual in-block balance shafts were integral to the design, and all accessories were mounted directly to the engine block to reduce vibration. The oil filter was cast into the block with a removable cover and replaceable paper element.
Displacement for the 2.2 L engine is 2,196 cc (134.0 cu in) with an 86 millimetres (3.4 in) bore and 94.6 millimetres (3.72 in) stroke. Compression is 9.5:1 or 10:1, delivering 135 to 147 hp (101 to 110 kW) and 142 to 152 lbft (193 to 206 Nm) of torque. The Ecotec line is manufactured in Tonawanda, New York, Kaiserslautern, Germany, and (for Saturn) in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The L61-powered Saturn Ion replaced the Saturn-powered Saturn S-Series.
There are a few variations to the standard L61. The new Chevrolet Malibu uses a version with electronic throttle control and a special unitized exhaust manifold and catalytic converter. The 2003 Saturn L-Series has a high output version with higher (10:1) compression and more aggressive camshaft. The Malibu and Saturn versions also use return-less fuel injection. The 2002 Saturn VUE was the first North American variant of the L61 to be equipped with electronic throttle control, whereas other applications did not arise until 2005 in the Saturn ION and Chevrolet Cobalt. The supercharger and inlet manifold from the 2.0 Ecotec engine can be purchased as an official kit from GM and along with modified software in the ECM, can create a 2.2 supercharged version of this engine.
In 2007 the L61 was upgraded with a second generation cylinder case, Coil on plug ignition, 58x crankshaft position sensing and a 32-bit computer.
The 2.2 L Ecotec is used in the following cars:

Understanding The Popularity Of Formula One Wheel-To-Wheel Racing
Because of the greatest plans of the formula one racing autos, wheel-to-wheel speeding is not prevailing in this sort of competition. Larger streamlined downforce and super-efficient carbon-fibre brake system mean that stopping lengths are unbelievably little, which determines exceeding opportunities. On the accurate raceways, of course, cars can nevertheless pass one another, just in general, leading is exceeding.
Numerous folks preserve that because exceeding is such a tremendous matter, it’s lent extra flavor when it does take place.
The work of catching capsulizes the battle of the general sport; it is a driver playing off his acquisition against the opposite in a spark of chance and either coming through or failing in his run. It besides forms a brainy propelling in the report of the game, without which the result can plainly appear as a chronological sequence of autos being driven very quick.
The formatting of some circuits makes passing more doable than at others. These ‘passing’ racing circuits lean to be the darlings of several drivers and viewers.
The advanced innovations of the formula 1 car lets it do best when the drivers are in fight to overtake the opposition. In automobiles that slow from two hundred mph to 40 mph in just about 3 seconds, and in a space little lengthier than a cricket toss, the driver performing the overpowering has just a slim window of opportunity to place his automobile and brake after than the man in front end. Make it a little bit away and a collision is a near-certainty.
Only sometimes this is unthinkable to make for more than a few ordered corners because the driver behind, if he’s clever, can pressure him into acquiring a defensive line into a turning point that keeps him being passed on that point but which makes him slow getting past and therefore vulnerable to attack into the following turn. It can be a game of mentalities as well as bravery and attainment.
There’s a shudder of prediction when a driver is closing out on the first driver in the race’s last levels on a path where passing is possible.
Alterations have been taken in to have more of this form of thing attainable, such as the circuit modificatrions at the Nurburgring in 2002 and the imposition of the one stopping movement principle in the 1990s. However, there are still great changes to the speeding motorcars and speed runways; passing is arguably too much on the unthinkable face of ”difficult” on too numerous runways nowadays.
Formula One is an awesome sport to watch and it can kick you off you seat if you understand the sports. For the next air, I advise you strap into your seat in front of your television and watch away.

Axial Needle Roller Bearings
Axial Needle Roller Bearings

Timken Roller Bearing Types
Timken is a global manufacturer of bearings. It was founded by Henry Timken in St. Louis, Missouri in 1899 and incorporated as The Timken Roller Bearing Axle Company. As a world-famous company, Timken provides customers with various kinds of bearing products. Besides, it is a global leader in friction management technologies and provides one of the most complete offerings of antifriction bearings in the industry.
As in the bearing area, Timken is a leading provider of all roller bearing types. The company offers cylindrical, tapered, spherical, thrust and needle roller bearings for a wide range of applications. Next is the specific introduction of these categories.
Firstly, Timken uses its 80 years of experience designing and manufacturing cylindrical roller bearings to continually advance performance across size ranges and configurations, including inch and metric and one-row, two-row and four-row designs. For example, the company produces a new series, i.e. the Timken? single row EMA series of cylindrical roller bearings, which feature a premium land-riding cage, unique internal geometries, enhance surface finishes and a compact design. All this adds up to longer life, improved uptime and reduced maintenance costs. Test results show EMA series bearings outperform both Timken-published ratings and the industry’s leading high performance cylindrical design.
Secondly, the company offers the most extensive line of tapered roller bearings available anywhere in the world. This kind of bearings is uniquely designed to manage both thrust and radial loads on rotating shafts and in housings. Timken manufactures nearly 26,000 bearing combinations – in single, double and four-row configurations. Tapered roller bearings consist of four interdependent components: the cone, or inner ring; the cup, or outer ring; the tapered rollers, or rolling elements; and the cage, or roller retainer. The taper angles allow the bearing to handle a combination of radial and thrust loads. The steeper the cup angle, the greater the ability of the bearing to handle thrust loads. The taper roller bearings can be future divided into many types such as the single-row, double-row, and four-row tapered roller bearings. Taking the single-row tapered roller bearings as an example, they are the most basic and widely used ones. They have positive roller alignment that ensures true rolling motion and generates a “seating force” that pushes the roller against the cone large rib. This seating force prevents the rollers from skewing off apex, thereby keeping them positively aligned and located against the cone large rib.
Thirdly, spherical bearings are designed to manage high radial loads even when misalignment, poor lubrication, contamination, extreme speeds or critical application stresses are present. While the thrust bearings are designed to manage thrust (axial) loads and provide high-shock-load resistance in a variety of applications.
Addition to the above mentioned categories, Timken also provides other similar products. All in all, whatever bearings it produces, the company guarantee the quality and performance of its products which are backed by the company’s extensive expertise in design, specification and maintenance. Timken always tries its best to meet customers’ requirements, and we can predict that it will be better in the future.

Axial Exhaust Fans
Axial Exhaust Fans

Selection of Right Axial Fan for Ventilation
In a typical axial fan, the effective progress of the air is straight through the impeller at a constant distance from the axis. The primary component of blade force on the air is directed axially from inlet to outlet and thus provides the pressure rise by a process that may be called direct blade action.
The blade force necessarily has an additional component in the tangential direction, providing the reaction to the driving torque : this sets the air spinning about the axis independently of its forward motion.
The air delivering capacity of axial flow fans ranges from 100 to 500,000 cubic feet per minute (3,000 to 15,000 cubic meters per minute). Impellers usually have blades with airfoil cross-sections.
As compared to curved sheet blades, aerofoils can apply greater force to the air, thereby increasing maximum pressure and can maintain better efficiency over a wider range of volumetric flow. Also by increasing the thickness & curvature of the inner sections, the blades can be made stiffer, this limits flutter and allows the impellers to be run at higher speeds.
Selection of a a right fan one should consider such factors like cost optimization, power rating & noise levels govern the selection of a fan suitable for a given application. Various combinations are possible to meet any given duty or operating requirements for best performance, lesser noise, power and cost characteristics.
Once the volume of airflow and the static pressure of the system are known, it is possible to specify a fan. The governing principle in fan selection is that any given fan can only deliver one flow at one pressure in a given system. To select a fan one must consider the following parameters:
- total airflow required
- total operating pressure
- fan installation space
The fan efficiency is defined as the ratio of air power (output) to shaft power requirement (input). An optimally designed fan impeller with improved aerodynamics requires less shaft input power for desired delivery of air volume with total pressure rise as per the system requirement. With reduced shaft power requirement, there is a commensurate reduction in energy consumption.
Thus the fan efficiency is directly contingent upon selection of fan and the operating point relevant to the system resistance.
The way fan impellers (blades or rotors) are designed, the amount of air they can move decreases as the pressure they are working against increases.
The airflow vs. pressure information for a particular fan is called the fan performance data. The performance of a fan depends on the size, shape & speed of the impeller. The fan performance data is essential for selecting fans as per the desired airflow and system pressure.
Most fans are tested using procedures specified by Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA), Illinois, USA. The fan under test is mounted near the outlet of the test rig and air in-flow through the rig is varied by the movable gate assembly situated at the other end of the test rig.
The airflow through the rig is determined by measurement of the pressure differential and simultaneous readings are taken of the static pressure developed by the fan, air velocity at the exit side, power consumed by the fan driving motor etc.
Fan performance curves and data show how much pressure and airflow a given fan can produce at a given speed. This data is based on the system resistance (pressure) occurring away from the fan. Fan performance curves are developed by fan manufacturers based on the testing of a prototype fan fabricated based on the theoretical design.
The axial flow fans are widely used for providing the required airflow for heat & mass transfer operations in various industrial equipment and processes. These include cooling towers for air-conditioning & ventilation, humidifiers in textile mills, air-heat exchangers for various chemical processes, ventilation & exhaust as in mining industry etc. All the major industries use large number of axial flow fans for operations, such as :
- Power generation
- Petroleum refining & petrochemicals
- Cement industry
- Chemicals & pharmaceuticals production
- Fertilizer production
- Mining manufacturing
- Humidification in textile mills
- building Ventilation, etc..

Barbie and Ken
Barbie and Ken (also known as Ken Carson) are two lovers Mattel toy doll introduced in the early sixties as the fictional boyfriend/girlfriend. Similar to his female counterpart, Ken had a fashionable line of clothing and accessories. In the Barbie tales, Ken and Barbie met on the set of a TV commercial in 1961. Since his debut, Ken has held at least forty occupations, from Olympic gold medalist to hair stylist in a span of four decades.
The unrealistic physiques of these two caused comment in the past years. Yale University psychologist, Kelly Brownell, observed that to match up to what Barbie looks for in a mate, a man would have to grow 20 inches taller and add nearly 8 inches to his neck circumference, 11 inches to his chest and 10 inches to his waist to resemble the muscular Ken.
In February, 2004, the doll company Mattel announced a split for Barbie and Ken, with its vice president of marketing Russell Arons, saying that Barbie and Ken felt it’s time to for them to spend some quality time apart, Like many other celebrity couples, their Hollywood romance. He also hinted that the separation might be partially due to Ken’s reluctance to getting married to Barbie. In February, 2006 however, a revamped version of the Ken doll was launched, and it appeared that their relationship was official again.
These characters are named after the names of the children of its designer Ruth Handler. Early this year the media reported on the publication of a book entitled Toy Monster: The Big, Bad World of Mattel by Jerry Oppenheimer. In the book, Oppenheimer claims that Ken Handler “grew up embarrassed and humiliated by having an anatomically incorrect boy doll named after him with no hint.

Who is going to buy them?
Are you selling to the pet trade or the meat trade?
Meat trade:
~Do you plan on butchering them? Who will do the butchering and how much will it cost you?
~You may be required to get licensed. In the States, we have the USDA who over sees cleanliness, meat quality, etc. To sell meat, you’ll need some sort of license.
~Licenses cost money. You’ll also need to have some sort of inspection of your facility. It needs to be up to code. Do you know the codes for your area?
~The butcher you use will also need to be licensed and inspected. You’ll need to find out about that before you get your license.
~Markets have their sources. It’s going to take a lot of convincing for them to quit buying from their trusted source and take a chance on you.
Not many people want quail as pets…???
Not many people can keep quail as pets. What are the zoning laws where you are?
~Again, pet stores have their sources. How are you going to get them to buy your animals?
Generally speaking – there is no money in breeding animals for the pet trade. You wind up spending just as much on food as you get for selling the animal.
It’s almost the same in the meat industry. You need entire warehouses filled with birds to make a profit. A “backyard breeder” like you will spend more on feed and care than you’ll ever make.
